I've sent a message to have the service subscribe you, (which you easily could have done yourself by sending a message with the words 'subscribe freebsd-small' in the body to majordomo@freebsd.org), for security reasons you must identify back to majordomo to prove that you want to be placed on the list. As for the 'updates' you wrote about; I'm not exactly sure what you mean? You can browse the archives of this email list from the FreeBSD website, or download the current source for PicoBSD from any one of the FreeBSD mirror sites. If there's something else more specific you're speaking about... then by all means try asking the list again.
