Well, yes, on the appropriate platform.  Since FreeBSD doesn't use
COFF, there's no way for any compiler to generate COFF for FreeBSD.

That should probably be removed.

What do you want to do?  You can get, say, an SCO UNIX version of gcc
which generates COFF, but I'm not sure why you'd want to do so.
