Comment #2 on issue 13 by ck...@colemankane.org: Portshaker needs to ignore .git and .svn directories under /usr/ports http://code.google.com/p/bsd-sharp/issues/detail?id=13 I suppose that a reasonable alternative would be to have portshaker use a different root (e.g. /usr/portshaker-ports) and then use rsync (--exclude .git) to merge this into my git repository. So, I was incorrect when I said it would be unusable. However, the behavior of deleting my entire ports tree was unexpected.
