I think I'll lurk on bugs for a bit to get a sense of what's going on and then make a decision on how far I want to involve myself. I was thinking more along the lines of following up on or closing out of date or should-have-landed-in-questions PRs just to keep the level of open PRs down. Administrivia type stuff. Take a look at the www gnats listings for various categories (misc comes to mind) and you'll see what I mean, there's several PRs that are date- or version-specific that probably don't apply anymore or were `solved' in the audit log but were never officially closed. misc/2785 is such a target.
