Agreed.  Otherwise, too much paid work will never see the tree and the
money spent will go to waste.

Two parts stand out:

A very good attitude to have.

That's key to the future success of FreeBSD.  A funded development
model can be part of that future, however, the FreeBSD organization
must be willing to manage change or be left behind.  If "we" don't do
it, the Linux people surely will.
