correct, same for me when using Netscape for some time.
The mousecursor gets unuseable, the mouse produces a lot
of events ... the more error messages you click away the
more you produce ;-)

I installed updated -current _and_ X11R6 to newest release.
So I wasn't sure, whom to blame.
