Ok. I've got mkboot.exe file from ftp://digital.com/, and I've made two floppies under dos -- one from the file with .exe extension, second from the file with .sys extension(there it'w warned me that is have "MOB" header). Than I switched Fail-Safe Boot jummper to Fail-Safe position. After the power-on, the system starts beeping me (. -short beep, space is a pause, - is long beep). . .. ... there it's was trying to boot from the diskette -- the diskette (the result was equial on both diskettes) was inserted and after about 2 seconds pause it starts to beep in the following manner: .. .. - .. .. - upto infinity :-( any suggesions's what's going on and what to try next? I do not want to loose usability of such workstation just installing NT on it :-( ;-) -- vadik likholetov To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
