However, while http://lt.tar.com > mentions adding COMPAT_LINUX_THREADS to the kernel conf, > config reports 'unknown option COMPAT_LINUX_THREADS'. That's right. However, if I'm not mistaken, you can compile anyway, and it will turn out ok. Even though config doesn't know about the option, it will add -DCOMPAT_LINUX_THREADS to the kernel compile commands, I think. > However, > > CFLAGS= -O2 -m486 -pipe -DCOMPAT_LINUX_THREADS > COPTFLAGS= -O -pipe -DCOMPAT_LINUX_THREADS > > in /etc/make.conf and a make world/kernel builds seems to do > the right thing. I had trouble with on-line registration for a while too. I thought the problem was that I hadn't added the Office50/bin directory to my PATH. When I did this, it seemed to be fixed. But, I might have re-installed at about the same time, and maybe I changed something else too. AFAIK, COMPAT_LINUX_THREADS didn't change anything compared to the patches that were at lt.tar.com . -- Richard Seamman, Jr. email: dick@tar.com 5182 N.
