I also noticed another keyboard odditiy that may be realated: I have synergy setup to share my desktop's keyboard with my laptop (xkb error is on the laptop). On the laptop I have it setup so windows key+t opens a new gnome-terminal. It works when I use the laptop's keyboard, but if I use the desktop's keyboard over synergy it does not. It worked before I moved to modular xorg. -- The biggest problem with communication is the illusion that it has occurred.
