I'm not sure if this was an actual image created to advocate BSD Unix or if the idea/form was simply copied from one. In any case, I don't think we have much to stand on. The daemon image is copyright Kirk McKusick, but hundreds or thousands of different artists have made images of the BSD daemon, and I doubt that very many of those people have ever contacted Kirk. I don't think its worth pursuing, but I certainly won't object if someone has some free time on their hands and a burning desire to have the image removed.
