The best luck I had was -CURRENT with the 

options    PCI_ENABLE_IO_MODES

and PnP BIOS disabled.

I had no problems under 4.5.  Under -CURRENT, the laptop locked up. 
This may be better now as it was about a month ago I had these
problems.  In any event, good luck.
