I'll go that route for now.  (If I can get it installed... plip isn't 
working for some reason and the CD-ROM is extremely picky about reading 
CD-R's.)

I'd fall more in to the "test patches" category than anything else, but I am 
interested in seeing it work.  I'll see if I can get a dual 5.x / 7-CURRENT 
setup working (since I have no desire to compile anything bigger than 
"hello world" on this machine).
