thanks for your tips, I'm trying to find more documentation on this and not coming up with much. this machine has 1gb of memory and isn't doing much else. then again, I don't need a ton of performance out of this RAID, is it okay to turn fast off? is kern.geom.stripe.fast_failed: 19279939 saying it wants 20gb of ram?
