are these the settings for the secondary ide controller on the card ?
try to set them to the usual values (wdc1 at 0x170-0x177 irq 15 on
isa) - i got until now 2 ide cdrom's running - but both on "really"
ide controllers (no soundcards)

p.s.: try to put the cdrom as slave onto the first controller - this
should work
