Check:

1.  'mailq' and /var/spool/mail for any overloaded mailboxes.
2.  /var/tmp for leftovers
3.  /var/log for unrotated or broken logfiles.  Don't forget to recreate
ones you delete by running 'touch <logfile>' after you 'rm' it.
