I had these problems on 2.2.7 from the day it was released. I'll bet you all have CFLAGS in make.conf set to -O2 or -O3... The fix, drop the optimization to -O, at least for sh. I don't know why, noone had an answer to this for me either. make world worked -O2 before, and -O3 broke on groff; now -O3 compiles, but sh is broken :) -- .-._.-.
