I have an intel mother board that comes with an adaptec AIC-7896 on-board
SCSI controllers which acording to the hardware list is part of the
supported hardware .
Yet, when I try to boot up with the install disks, I get the following loop
of messsages and I have no clue what they mean, what is wrong and how to
fix it.
Waiting for 15 seconds for SCSI devices to settle
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) Parity error during Command phase.
SEQADDR == 0x15d
SCSIRATE == 0x95
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) SCB 0xa - Timed out in a command phase SEQADDR == 0x15d
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) BDR message in message buffer
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) SCB 0xa - Timed out in a command phase SEQADDR == 0x15d
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) No longer in timeout, status = 34b
ahc1: Issued a channel bus reset. 1 SCBs aborted
(probe0:ahc1:0:2:1) Parity error during Command phase.
SEQADDR == 0x15d
SCSIRATE == 0x95
etc...
but it seems that the 1:0:2:1 is incrementing...
Any help is greatly apreciated.
Marcelo
