You can check it by yourself by loading UP kernel.

I believe that you are using it ;)

Just since mid-year 2000 vmware port was integrated into the FreeBSD port
tree and VMware folks didn't make changes in the Linux kernel drivers.

You should remeber that vmware it'a linux application, so to use truss
or kdump doesn't make a big sense here. And probably no one from us
have access to vmware source code, so ability to fix bugs are very 
limited.
