The ISOs are bootable only on i386, aka garden variety PCs.  A PC boot CD
obviously won't work on a Mac, so you would need a separate CD for the
PowerPC install...

...assuming there was even a working PowerPC port, which unfortunately,
there is not at the moment.  The progress has been fairly slow but
deliberate, and eventually PowerPC based NewWorld Macs (iMacs, G4s, etc.)
will likely be able to boot FreeBSD.  That is a very long way off, though.
For the time being it is recommended that you subscribe to this mailing
list for the latest info on FreeBSD/ppc.
