Actually, UDP is actually *faster* than TCP in these sorts of environments, if you know what you are doing. :) :) :) :) Overhead during a demo of my former company was demo'ing a product to a client, while the client was talking to our competitor. 'Hmm, how come your product doesn't do anything, when their product seems to be working fine here.....'.
