I picked up an Overland DLT LoaderXPress LXL8110 (though the vendors seem to drop one of the 1's often and call it the LXL810..). 10 DLT8k capacity, one drive. They have other tape formats available as well, though the DLT is the only one I looked at. It works great with amanda and chg-chio (and FreeBSD of course!). Only problem I had is that when chg-chio loops back from tape 10 to tape 1, it doesnt read the tape label correctly...so it then skips on to tape 2. I wrote a wrapper that handles the tape changing for me. (It checks to see what tape is next, checks what slot that tape should be in, then advances to that slot.) Just my few cents. :) ...david --- david raistrick drais@atlasta.net http://www.expita.com/nomime.html To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-isp" in the body of the message
