Certainly what you say is true.  The battery life on my laptop is on
the order of 2.5 hours with this patch (ichist) as opposed to the 2
hours w/o it on and the 5.5 hours I get in Windows.  It obviously
needs a lot of work.  Also, when it is enabled, it's all on, it
appears.  Everything is slow.  I'm sure that with time (and after
release of 5.3) this will be worked on more seriously.
