Hi all! Talk to phk, I discussed the "right" way of doing things with him a =20 few month back and I think he did at least a proof of concept thing on =20= it, dunno how far it got. Maybe it could be used as a starting ground =20= for a proper solution. I dont have much time (still) but maybe I could find time to finish =20 up / overhaul a part solution as mentioned above.... -S=F8ren On 5Feb, 2008, at 22:06 , Bruce Cran wrote: > Kostik Belousov wrote: >> [Replying to the original list of the recipients]. >> On Tue, Feb 05, 2008 at 05:36:57PM +0100, Alexander Leidinger wrote: >>> Quoting Kostik Belousov <kostikbel@gmail.com> (from Tue, 5 Feb =20 >>> 2008 15:02:10 +0200): >>> >>>> I noted that when idle, my laptop HDD increases the =20 >>>> Load_Cycle_Count >>>> (193) approx. each ten seconds, as reported by smartctl.
