I looked at another port (security/denyhosts) and noticed it used "%%PYTHON%%" vs "%%PYTHON_CMD%%", but either way after installation it expands properly to "/usr/local/bin/python2.7" as I would expect.. Again, the error I'm finding is: [root@salt /usr/local/etc/rc.d]# ./salt_master start Starting salt_master. [root@salt /usr/local/etc/rc.d]# ./salt_master stop salt_master not running? (check /var/run/salt_master.pid).
