I don't believe there's a 9.0-STABLE snapshot available at freebsd.org right now. Instead, try one from here: ftp://ftp.allbsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-snapshots/amd64-amd64/9.0-RELENG_9-20120329-JPSNAP/ There's a new snapshot available there pretty much daily.
