A couple of things more: * Your user should be in the "video" group. * What's inside your graphical session? Plasma, GNOME, something simple? * How do you enter the graphical session? Some kind of display manager or "startx"? If you're using KDE Plasma, let's try following: echo xterm > ~/.xinitrc startx In the graphical session run tail -F /var/log/Xorg.0.log to see if the flickering is here.home | help
