I have 2 Compaq's with 2940UW installed. 1 runs IDE for disk (tape, cdrom and a Syquest are currently on it), the other has 2 wide drives in it. Both are running 2.1.7, and I haven't had any problems at all. When I get the money to upgrade my home SCSI controller (a 1542B), I'm leaning toward the 2940UW. Plan for the future. It's not that much more than a 2940U. May as well. Paul. -- Labor, n.: One of the processes by which A acquires property for B. -- Ambrose Bierce, "The Devil's Dictionary"
