The term never had any legal standing, and when the BSD project shut down with 4.4-LITE (I think that was the last), it had no non-legal currency, either, so BSDI chose to register BSD as a trademark... You can hail them for doing this, as a way to protect it, or pan them for trying to coopt it - your choice. -- John Lind john@starfire.MN.ORG
