It is at least with the old usb stack i.e. on 7.x and earlier, since the old stack doesn't support doing direct ugen-like io on non-ugen devices which hplip needs. The new stack does however as I was just told, so chances are this will work on head. (well, unless there is still code missing in hplip, testing this here is difficult as I said.) HTH, Juergen
