  I managed to record kernel logs for both cases.  They are recorded
with mpt->verbose=2 . Those of you who might be interested in this
problem can get two files from URLs below.

 It seems to me that mpt0 sends requests endlessly in the case of 3
drives. As for revisions of the hardware, from BIOS information, LSI
Logic 1030's revision is 1013D00 and IBM IC35L036's is S27F.
