This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_004F_01BF7CC5.522940A0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hello FreeBSD users! When I try to install FreeBSD 3.4 STABLE I run into some serious = problems. I boot the computer with the installation CD, make the proper = hardware configuration, make the FreeBSD slice and necessary labels... = but when I try to make a custom installation the system immediately = hangs with a message "Caught a signal 11, I'm trying to save everything = and shutting down... etc etc", and the installation fails.=20 The thing is, I can install FreeBSD by using one of the installation = packages, and that seems to work just fine, but when I run = /stand/sysinstall and try to add some of the distributions I get the = same "signal 11 error". These problems does not appear when installing the previous version, = FreeBSD 3.3 STABLE. What is this signal 11 error, and why is it turning my = installation/uppgrading into nothing??? Thank you for your comments on this!
