I have big problem with VMWare accessing internet from virtual machine. here is the layout: 1. GATEWAY MACHINE WITH REAL IP USING NAT TO GIVE ACCESS TO OTHER MACHINES 2. Client machines using gateway machine as a gatway to internet 3. VMWare on the client machine using 192.168.253.1 as a vmnet interface and 192.168.253.2 for the windows 98 os. Client machines work fine. I can access internet from vmware on the gateway machine. But if VMWare started on the client machine the internet is inacessible from the virtual machine, though it can ping the other client machines. NAT is configured for all unregistered address (i guess it is 192.168.x.x) All machines 4.1-stable with the same hardware and kernel config. For example: gateway: 192.168.0.1 client 192.168.0.13 vmnet: 192.168.253.1 win98: 192.168.253.2 uses 192.168.253.1 as a gateway from win98 i can ping 192.168.253.1 AND 192.168.0.13 but cannot ping 192.168.0.1 Any ideas?
