Not enough to make much of a difference.  If I recall correctly, Microsoft
has one of the largest technical-support organizations in the world.
Practically everyone outside Redmond is either in sales or technical
support.

Which products has Microsoft shipped with "basically unlimited" numbers of
bugs?

When?

I've found NT to be the most stable desktop operating system I've ever used.
It's too early for me to assess XP.
