well after trying for several days to update 4.2-R to 4.2-S i think i'll just forget about it and just use 4.3-R. why did i say that? using "tag=RELENG_4_2_0_RELEASE" just hangs there no matter which cvsup server i use but as soon as i change the tag to "RELENG_4" it's now updating my sources tree without let up! oh well, like they said in the faq, nobody's perfect (or something like that). on the side note, i've been checking the docs and there's no equivalent of the ports' refuse file for /usr/src. would be great to have one.
