Hi,

I installed jdk1.1.5 by using the tar file from www.freebsd.org/java. on a BSDI machine. When I try to run the javac tool for compilation of a simple java file, it complains about the unavailability of the shared library ld.so.

1. Are there any environment variables to be set on the BSDI machine?
2. On Solaris, this shared library is available in /usr/lib usually. Is there its counterpart on BSDI?
3. Are there separate jdk's for BSDI and FreeBSD?

Thanks

Regards,
Devadas Patil
