Hi all=0A=0AI have a laptop with following Intel display controller:=0Avgap= ci1 at pci0:0:2:0:=A0=A0=A0=A0 class=3D0x030000 card=3D0xc0a5144d chip=3D0x= 01168086 rev=3D0x09 hdr=3D0x00=0A=A0=A0=A0 vendor=A0=A0=A0=A0 =3D 'Intel Co= rporation'=0A=A0=A0=A0 device=A0=A0=A0=A0 =3D '2nd Generation Core Processo= r Family Integrated Graphics Controller'=0A=A0=A0=A0 class=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 = =3D display=0A=A0=A0=A0 subclass=A0=A0 =3D VGA=0A=0A=0AIts CPU is Intel Cor= e i7 2630QM.=0A=0ACurrent xf86-video-intel-2.7.1 from experimental Xorg tre= e does not support the above Intel display controller.=0A=0AFollowing link = shows the latest xf86-video-intel-2.18.0 driver is tested on Intel Core i7 = 2630QM:=0Ahttp://intellinuxgraphics.org/2012.02.html=0A=0AI have upgraded t= he libdrm to the latest and tried the latest xf86-video-intel-2.18.0 on the= experimental Xorg tree but it generate errors that I do not understand.=0A= =0AThis laptop has a Nvidia Optimus display controller also, but no luck wi= th it as it is not possible to disable the Intel display controller from th= e BIOS.=0A=0ASince the current xf86-video-intel-2.7.1 does not support the = Intel display controller, I'm really stuck now.=0A=0AIs there any possibili= ty for FreeBSD X11 community to upgrade the Intel driver to the xf86-video-= intel-2.18.0 on the experimental Xorg tree.
