"Some saaaaaay a chicken's life is not exciting, and so do I! And so do I!" :-) No, what they're talking about this silly little song (known, amazingly enough, as "the chicken song") that's become a staple at the Oktoberfest and anywhere else alcohol is consumed in massive enough quantities to completely impair the higher judgement centers of the brain. You do a little dance step that involves making beak motions with your hands, then flapping your arms like wings, then swinging your hips back and forth like a chicken walking, then finally clapping in time to the 3-beat ending of the measure. All I can say is that you haven't seen surreal until you've watched 5 enormous bavarian women who look like they might otherwise smile once a year (and only on special occasions) all schnocked outta their gourds doing it in tandem on a table. :-) I may have danced it myself once or twice, though I don't remember it too clearly.. :-) Jordan
