Hi, my System: System Type: AlphaPC 164LX Processor : Digital Alpha 21164, Revision 7.2 Speed : 600 MHz Cache : 2 MB Memory : 256 MB SCSI-System: DigitalNetStorm 885 (Symbios 885 with an 10/100 MBit network interface) I've updatet the default installed AlphaBIOS with the SRM BIOS. When i try to install with Bootdisk: >>>boot dva0 (boot dva0.0.0.0.0 -flags 0) block 0 af dva0.0.0.0.0 is a valif boot block reading 15 blocks from dva0.0.0.0.0 bootstrap code read in base = 560000, image_start=0, image_bytes = 1e00 initializing HWRPB at 2000 initializing page table at ff56000 initializing machin state setting affinity to the primary VPU jumping to bootstrap code And the System stops... I've got the same error, when i try to install with cd-rom "show dev" lit only the cd-rom and the disk drive, can it bee that the SRM BIOS does not support my SCSI-Controller with a Seagate HDD? Ok, i can boot every time with a Bootdisk. but first i think, i must install the system ;-) -- Sent through GMX FreeMail - http://www.gmx.net To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
