I have a FreeBSD7-RC1 AMD-64 system. It has a single Opteron 2224 and a nvidia chipset. The kernel is default. Sometimes when I reboot the system, it hangs with the following message on the screen. This has happened many times, but does not happen every time: Waiting (max 60 seconds) for system to process 'vnlru' to stop...done Waiting (max 60 seconds) for system to process ' syncer' to stop... Syncing disks, vnodes remaining...0 0 done Waiting (max 60 seconds) for system to process 'bufdaemon' to stop...done All buffers synced. Uptime: 3m9s Rebooting... cpu_ reset: Stopping other CPUs Spin lock 0xffffffff80a743a0 (sched lock) held by 0xffffff000122f680 (tid 100002) too long panic: spin lock held too long cpuid = 0 When this happens, I power cycle the system and it comes back up with no problem. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/FreeBSD7-RC1%3A-panic%3A-spin-lock-held-too-long-tp15183442p15183442.html Sent from the freebsd-bugs mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
