Then they aren't hackers. I'm certainly willing to learn new
language. I generally relish the opportunity. The trick is finding
employers who are willing to let me do that, or tasks I want to do
that the language in question is the proper tool.

That is true. C++ is as ugly as C, but has all the problems of Object
Orient Languages.
