Alan McKay <amckay@istop.com> types: > > Hi folks, > > I just subscribed and WOW there's a lot of traffic!!! > > I notice that Majordomo does not put some kind of tag into the subject > line, so I"m wondering how I can effectively filter mail from the list. Depends on what you use to filter mail. All the Freebsd lists have a List-ID: header that lists the listname, then ".FreeBSD.ORG". I use VM, and have a series of virtual folders that look like so: ("freebsd-questions" (("INBOX") (and (new) (header "^List-ID: <freebsd-questions.FreeBSD.ORG>$")))) Which, when visited, gives me a ilst of all the traffic on FreeBSD-questions. Just like getting it as a digest, only without the lossage that the FreeBSD mail digester has. <mike -- Mike Meyer <mwm@mired.org> http://www.mired.org/home/mwm/ Independent WWW/Perforce/FreeBSD/Unix consultant, email for more information.
