I posted this bug report earlier, but it got no response. If we'd like to make Pro-AudioSpectrum and Trantor SCSI (nca device) CD-ROM stuff work properly in the next release, let me know. I can provide more details. In a nutshell, data CDs work fine. You can mount them, use them, and unmount them all day long. But if you try to use cdplay, cdcontrol, Xcd, Xmcd, XCDPlayer, or any other music-based CD control program, you get kernel errors and sometimes the system will lock up. Now, it used to work -- because I could play music CDs all the time in the FreeBSD 2.0[.1] release. It started to fall apart with 2.0.5, but I wasn't really sure if it was FreeBSD or something I did. Now with the latest -current, I've tried to get music CDs to play with no success. I've double checked everything on this end, but I haven't changed anything with respect to the CD. And, again, data CDs work fine. --Morgan
