Hello ! A friend of mine - who is involved in the FreeBSD project (his name is Ollivier Robert) told me that there are some people who look for a french translation of the FreeBSD FAQ. I planned this project a lot of months ago, but now, I have sufficient time to spend on it. I just want to inform you that I will begin the translation this week-end, and I hope that the first draft will be finished in a couple of weeks. For the moment, I only have a little problem to use french accentuated letters (יא) with linuxdoc, but when this problem is solved, I will begin the work. By the way, does anybody on the freebsd-doc mailing list know how to include accents in a linuxdoc paper ? I will use the FAQ from FreeBSD-current fetched on the 29 Dec. I suscribed on the doc mailing list so that I can know if there are new releases of the FAQ during my translation, and to keep it in sync with the 'official' paper. And when this is done, I will try the handbook :-) -- Sylvain Nierveze - sn@penelope.frmug.org
