If it's turning out to be a widespread problem then implied warranties
and such should override a short stated warranty.

And if AMD wants to remain in the processor business they'll ignore
their warranty while the chips are still green.  They are one of the
under-dogs after all.

No sense sitting back and expecting the worst.
