Have you tried your test program out with a 'reference' implementation (aka, something distributed from SUN, such as their Solaris and/or Win32 port)? If not, it would be *real* helpful to the FreeBSD folks to know whether or not this is a FreeBSD-specific bug or a generic JDK bug. If the former, then we might be able to fix it, or it might be a 'feature' of the language/AWT implementation. If the latter, then we most certainly *need* to fix it. Thanks! Nate
