It is easy enough on getting the system up (root is mounted automagically), but it isn't so obvious once the system is up. Union-like semantics in DEVFS? Then I believe there will be some stacking issues we have to resolve first... Other than that, this proposal solve all the potential problems I've seen with DEVFS - sounds good to me. Eivind.
