I think people are somewhat overemphasizing this issue, which is not really important to the support issues (why isn't anybody discussing them?). If some customers won't take FreeBSD because of its name, I don't have any particular problems with selling them substantially the same product with a different name. I don't think this is a good reason to change the mainstream name, however, and I suspect that as these customers mature they will appreciate that the packaging isn't as important as the content.
