okay, I can now get a ppp connection, but if I rlogin into a machine, two things happen. 1. It echos all the characters back to me... a pain in emacs. 2. It doesn't appear to transmit the characters until I hit return, also a pain in emacs. any ideas ? thanks for all the answers to the previous questions, I had just didn't know to disable the COM2 port in BIOS. jay -- Join the FreeBSD Revolution.
