I am having trouble getting ppp to set the routing correctly. I would appreciate any help or criticism. First of all, I am using 2.2.6-RELEASE. The problem has arisen with a change in internet service providers. Both the gateway and "my" IP addresses are dynamically assigned. The HISADDR and MYADDR macros do not seem to be retrieving values; - the assumed (or dummy) addresses are not replaced by the correct addresses. If I guess dummy addresses that are "close" then the PPP link is established but nothing (sendmail, popclient, etc.) works.
