The ports collection is old and out of date.  Upgrade to our 3.6B (latest)
basic Merit AAA Server version by browsing at:

   http://www.merit.edu/aaa/

It should be there under "About..." | "Information..." | "The Basic..."

The old one (2.4.23) is old/obsolete/buggy/non-RFC-conformant/unavailable/etc...
